During our gathering as the body of Christ, we worship Jesus, the Savior of the world, and we extend love to one another in Christ. Our Church has a desire to extend the kingdom of God on earth by spreading the good news of salvation made possible by Jesus Christ. Through the atonement of Jesus on the cross and our repentance and faith toward him, we each can receive salvation for the forgiveness of our sins. The Bible, God’s Holy Word, reveals the truth of God to us as we prayerfully and obediently study the Scriptures. Through this revelation, along with the fellowship of other believers in the church, we grow as disciples of Christ.
Study of the Scriptures reveals that a biblical New Testament church functions much like an extended family as opposed to a business, and it was originally free of worldly traditions while directed by the apostles. Relationships between members in the church were of high importance during this time, and it has been our desire to return to this form of biblical living and worship by adhering to the biblical pattern without contradicting additions. Thus, our services include some practices that differ from the typical church you may have attended in the past. One of these differences is that we include a participatory portion during the service which allows multiple members to speak and share what God has put on their hearts. This pattern comes from 1 Corinthians 14 where each member of the church is encouraged to bring truth and revelation with them to the meeting.
Our assembly also has multiple elders who work together and share authority within the church. Another exciting component of our services is the food. We have a fellowship meal each Sunday by sharing food brought by church members, and we enjoy a wonderful lunch together with plenty of time to fellowship.
We also love to worship the Lord by singing inspiring, godly songs accompanied by guitar and percussion. The experience of being fed with the Word of God and singing praises to the Lord allows you to leave the meeting feeling full of the ministry of God after the service.
We hope you will take the time to contact us to further learn about our church and see if God desires for you to visit with us soon. Contact information is available here.
